On Tuesday, after a great breakfast of blueberry pancakes and fresh orange/pomegranate juice with Paul and Diane, we continued our trek south to Ashland.  If you are ever on I-5 near Eugene, be sure to stop at Lane Community College exit 189 for gas – even if you don’t need gas.  This is the coolest gas station ever and Justin and Lauren stop here every time they pass by.  It has a green roof, bio diesel fuel (as well as regular gas), kombuca on tap, all snack food is organic, fresh, organic pastries/sandwiches, great coffee…..

After the long drive, we rolled in to Ashland and landed at Caldera Brewing Company for a refreshing beer.

If you’re ever in Ashland, check out the bar.  Lauren’s dad felled the tree on his property, milled it, dried it and did whatever it is you do to make it a flat, long piece of wood and transformed it into the bar at Caldera.  This table and a few others are also from the same tree.

Oh, and the beer and food are great, too!
