What’s your treasure? Get up close and photograph it. That’s today’s assignment. This is one of my favorite treasures. I love the colors and the textures.

This was an exercise in cropping a landscape photo. I had a hard time figuring out where the edit and cropping tools were but through the “help” button I got it. For this photo I cropped out the houses that are no longer along the right side of the photo. Not sure why it ended up so small after just cropping the right side.

This was an interesting assignment. After exploring my neighborhood I ended up finding some interesting shots in my own back yard. There are some plants back here that have been super-sized somewhere along the way.

The title explains the assignment for today. We’ve all seen how dramatic a pop of color can be when the colors are strong and vibrant. I took this photo yesterday to show a more subtle version of this theme. It’s interesting to see the color choice for the flower pots and how they blend in with the background. Only the color of the flowers stands out.

I was out for a walk yesterday and came upon this stairway that had the perfect lighting and mystery about it. I like this much better than the one I posted earlier. Plus I really like the railing.

This assignment was to use light to create a particular effect and mystery. I had a brain fog on this one so I reached into my archives and pulled out this photo to share. I really like all the curves and the limited indirect sunlight.

Today we were to capture an image of warmth using the sun as the light source. Lucky for me we had a sunny day. I’d just come back from a long walk when I received this assignment and didn’t have time to head out for another walk. On my way home I had just stopped at our little market and picked out these flowers because they reminded me of this warm sunny spring day. So they became my image of warmth. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am.
