Sydney – Ganges on Salt Spring Island

Had a nice lazy morning. Around 9 Chris, Lauren, Annabelle and Winny took off for a mile walk to Annabelle’s playground and then another mile and a half to Winny’s Dog Park. By 10 the rain started and lasted all day. Fortunately they are a hearty bunch.

Justin stayed aboard his boat and tele-worked. I stayed aboard our boat and cleaned up and worked on this blog.

By noon all were aboard and we headed off for Ganges on Salt Spring Island. After a leisurely cruise we docked at Salt Spring Marina and will stay here two nights. For the next few days we will be retracing the steps of our first cruise here in the Gulf Islands eight years ago on the Argonaut II.

I’ve been reviewing my blog from that trip and here’s a quote from that blog of 2016 when we stopped at Ganges.

“Once the anchor was secure we hopped in the dingy and rowed ashore for lunch at Moby’s Pub.  Such amazing food.  I had the Duck and Goat Cheese Salad with a Balsamic Reduction Vinaigrette.” I never forgot this salad and got to have it again this evening at Moby’s Pub. It’s still on the menu and just as good.
